Admin Dashboard

Turning scattered healthcare operations into one command center.

This dashboard helped admins manage customers, hospitals, internal teams, and patient assignment workflows from one place. The work focused on reducing tool switching, making operational status visible, and giving teams faster ways to act on routine admin tasks.

Problem

Admin work was split across too many surfaces.

Admins were coordinating patient assignments, customer updates, hospital details, team access, and operational status across spreadsheets, Salesforce, internal databases, calendars, and email. A single assignment could require multiple checks before the right person could act.

The product needed to become a single source of truth for customer, hospital, and team data while still being fast enough for daily operational use.

Product direction

A dashboard built around operational action.

The design organized admin work into clear zones: dashboard, organization, internal team, customers, devices, and audit logs. Each area exposed the right summary first, with deeper details and contextual actions available when needed.

Progressive disclosure

Dashboard cards summarized key states first, while detailed tables and forms stayed one click deeper.

Status-driven clarity

Consistent color coding helped admins scan active, inactive, paused, linked, and unlinked states quickly.

Contextual actions

Each category exposed actions near the object being managed, reducing hunting and repeated navigation.

Information architecture

One admin model for people, places, and work.

The system map separated the product into operational objects: hospitals, clinics, doctors, internal team members, customers, and dashboard status. This reduced ambiguity around where information should live and which team owns each update.

Impact

The final experience reduced admin overload, cut repeated tool switching, and gave new admins a clearer operating model. The work was delivered as a solo designer in collaboration with two engineers and one product manager.

Interface

The screens make daily operations scannable.

The interface uses a restrained, light enterprise system with clear navigation, dense data surfaces, status chips, and forms that keep hospitals, customers, and internal teams connected.
